There are different types of hypnosis. One of the most common types involves transmitting new suggestions to the client. In this case, as a client, you are quite passive, and the hypnotist works to embed new ways of behavior into your subconscious, for example, that you’re no longer afraid of heights.
The next layer might look more like therapy, where you’re having a back and forth with the hypnotherapist. you’re more active, but you’re talking about here and now. How you’re feeling in the moment, how you might experience something different.
Regression hypnosis takes this a step further and helps you travel back in time to specific core memories and transformative experiences. It allows you to go back and heal your past since often our childhood traumas have a bigger impact on our life than most events that happen in our adulthood.
Regression hypnosis takes the most skill and training, it requires more therapeutic support for the client than just reading scripts to them. But it can also be the most transformative.
What’s your take? Do you think traveling back in time would be good for your healing?
